“We need to dispel the myth that ‘empathy is walking in someone else's shoes.’ Rather than walking in your shoes, I need to learn how to listen to the story you tell about what it’s like in your shoes and believe you even when it doesn’t match my experiences.”

Dr. Caroline Leaf

You are a church pastor, lay minister, or recovery ministry leader overwhelmed with traumatized people who want help healing.

Neither you nor your staff has training to help those who have experienced emotional, physical, sexual, or spiritual abuse. You have the heart to help but have limited capacity since more than 90% of our population is living with trauma.

Destined For Glory is a proven resource for those you shepherd. Through our organization, we help guide your flock to trusted advisors who can help them unravel their complex trauma from abuse, unhealthy relationships, and the stress and anxiety accompanying the healing journey so they can become the best version of themselves.

Surviving abuse can seem impossible and carries with it heavy burdens. We have walked the path of trauma from abuse and understand that unless survivors sit with the horrors of what happened to them and the lies and strategies they developed to protect themselves, they will continue to live by what they fear and hate the most.

We know the God of all comfort. The healing and freedom we have come to possess through the redeeming love of Jesus Christ propels us to carry this same message of hope, comfort, and redemption to those in your care.

As the Church, we have failed. We have made abuse victims feel guilt and condemnation or like they did something to cause the abuse. The truth is that what happened to them is a crime, and they are not responsible.

Our call is to comfort those as we have been comforted and to provide a gateway of healing to the oppressed. Our passion is to bring awareness, tools, and resources to heal trauma with the body of Christ.

We are better together than apart. We bring an increased understanding of the wounds of trauma and a fresh perspective for living wholeheartedly through our unique life experiences and personal journeys of healing through the redeeming love of Jesus Christ.
