Survivors

We at Destined for Glory offer hope, comfort, and a doorway to untangle the tentacles of abuse so that you can live wholeheartedly.

Suppose you are a Christian who has experienced childhood or adult relationships with emotional, physical, or sexual abuse. In that case, together with God, it is our heart to help you find direction to untangle the abuse and gain freedom from the tentacles that hold you.

In Psalm 34:18, we discover that the Lord is close, with, and near to the brokenhearted and those crushed in spirit. It is no secret that abuse breaks our hearts and crushes our spirits.

Surviving abuse can seem impossible and carries with it heavy burdens. We have walked the path of trauma from abuse and understand that unless we face and sit with the horrors of what happened to us and the lies and strategies we developed to protect ourselves, we will continue to live by what we fear and hate the most. We know the God of all comfort. The healing and freedom we have come to possess through the redeeming love of Jesus Christ propels us to carry this same message of hope, comfort, and redemption to you.

As Christians, we are divinely wired for our lives to flow from the center of our hearts. Our hearts are connected to our mind, will, and emotions. Through Destined for Glory, we offer resources and tools to help you protect your heart and understand how to live wholeheartedly.

Many misguided Christians can make you feel guilt and condemnation or that you did something to cause the abuse. The truth is that what happened is a crime, and you are not responsible. The greater Truth is that Jesus came to rebuild the ruins of our pasts and to restore the devastated places so we can live wholeheartedly on our way to the destiny of glory.

If you have read this far, you may be asking one or more of the below questions:

Am I currently in the middle of an abusive relationship?

Was I abused as a child?

Are there unhealed areas of my life from past abusive relationships causing me suffering?

Do I deserve to have a better life?

In Psalm 139: 13-16, the divine Word of God reveals that He formed all our inward parts in our mother's womb, we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that before we take one breath, He wrote every day of our lives in His book! NOTHING can alter that truth.

Because God is love, any person with behaviors that mistreat or wrongly use a person is NOT from God!
